A calmer way to track shared costs
Settleo keeps the parts of a reimbursable expense connected, from the client group through to each matter allocation.
Client and project groups
Put related matters under the client relationship and project where the cost belongs.
Exact amount allocations
Split an expense across as many matters as you need, using amounts that must equal the recorded cost.
Balance view
See the allocated total for each matter alongside the expense history that created it.
Receipt attachments
Keep a PDF, JPEG, or PNG receipt with the expense record instead of searching for it later.
What Settleo does today
Can I add more than one expense?
Yes. Expense entries are not metered in this first version.
How are allocations checked?
You enter fixed amounts for each matter. Settleo only saves the expense when their total exactly matches the expense amount.
Can I attach the receipt?
Yes. Attach a PDF, JPEG, or PNG up to 750 KB; the link stays with the saved expense.
Can my firm collaborate in one workspace?
Not yet. This first version is for one signed-in accountant and their own client records.
Does Settleo connect to my accounting system?
Not in this release. It is a focused workspace for recording and splitting the shared expense itself.
Keep the source and allocation together
Each expense is stored with its project, payer, date, receipt attachment, and matter amounts. The dashboard then adds those saved allocations into a balance view for the records you have entered.
- Your client and project groups are private to your account.
- A saved split contains the exact matter names and amounts you entered.
- Settleo does not import bank activity or send reminders automatically in this first version.
Matter allocation check
The allocation saves only when these totals match.
Start with one shared expense
The workflow is intentionally small: establish context, capture the source, then make the allocation clear.
- 1
Create a client and project group
Give the client relationship and matter a clear place before expenses begin.
- 2
Record the expense and receipt
Enter the description, amount, date, payer, and attach the source document when you have it.
- 3
Allocate it across matters
Save the exact amounts, then review the resulting balance totals and history.
